Shahrukh Khan is an Indian film actor, producer, TV host, mentor and philanthropists. He has appeared in more than 50 Hindi films in genres ranging from romance to action and comedies. He is one of the most awarded Bollywood actor of all time including actor Dilip Kumar. He was awarded with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2005, and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Government of France in 2007 for his contribution to films. Currently, he is busy shooting for the upcoming flicks Fan and Raees. Biography of Ranbir Kapoor



Kapoor family is always seen as the first family of the Bollywood and the youngest generation of Kapoor’s is lead by the charming Ranbir Kapoor. Yet unlike other star kids, Ranbir made his own identity by starting his career not as an actor, but as an assistant director. He has performed vivid rolls in his career till now- be it a chocolate boy of ‘Saawariya’, a classic happy go lucky sardar from ‘Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year’ or the popular ‘Rockstar’ Jordan. He has outperformed in all roles done till now. There have been several Ranbir Kapoor controversies due to his love life, be it of broken relationship with Deepika Padukone or now his decision of moving in with his current lady love Katrina Kaif.
Ranbir Kapoor was born on 28 September 1982. Ranbir Kapoor father name is Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor mother name is Neetu Singh. Ranbir is the second child of the couple. Ranbir Kapoor sister is Riddhima, who is elder to him. He is grandson of the legendary actor director Raj Kapoor. He is first cousin of Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor. Ranbir completed his schooling from Bombay Scottish School. He was never good at academics. After completing his schooling he moved to New York and studied method acting and film making from Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and School of visual arts respectively. He worked in two short films there in student life and then came back to Mumbai for doing real work.
He has always maintained that in his childhood he was close to his mom, but on sets of ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ he strengthened his relation with his father. In Bollywood he started as an assistant director of Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Black. Apart from his acting career he is involved in various business ventures. He started his acting career in year 2007 by debuting in movie ‘Saawariya’ opposite Sonam Kapoor. The film itself was not a success, but Ranbir was seen as an actor with a lot of potential by critics. He then came up with a romantic comedy ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ in which he was seen romancing with three beautiful ladies Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba & Deepika Padukone. Movie did average at box office business, but opened new frontiers for Ranbir. In 2009, Ranbir was seen all year round in three different kinds of roles each mile apart from other.
He was first seen in Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Wake up Sid’ opposite  Konkona Sen. Next, he was seen in romantic comedy ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’ with Katrina Kaif which was a disaster according to critics, but worked averagely at the box office due to charming on-screen chemistry of the two lead actors. ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’ was his last film that year, where he was appreciated a lot by critics for his role as a Sikh guy.
He next was seen in the multi-star political drama of Prakash Jha, ‘Rajneeti’ in 2010. It was a blockbuster. The storyline is said to be based on Mahabharata. Priyanka Chopra  and Ranbir Kapoor were seen together in ‘Anjaana Anjaani’. It was a blink and miss at box office as well as for audience and Ranbir fans.
Ranbir was next seen in Imtiaz Ali ‘Rockstar’. He played a troubled musician Jordan, who dreams to be like Jim Morrison one day. He is seen opposite to Nargis Fakhri in this film. Critics couldn’t stop praising Ranbir for this role along with audience and eventually making him win the ‘Best Actor Filmfare’ award for year 2011. Nargis Fakhri and Ranbir Kapoor relation was in talks that time. He also did a small item number in children’s film ‘Chillar Party’ that year.
In 2012, he was cast opposite Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz in Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi’! He played a deaf and mute guy in this successful romantic drama. He once again won Filmfare for this movie ‘Barfi,’ which became an official entry of India for Academy Awards. 2013 saw the biggest commercial success of Ranbir with romantic drama ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ starring opposite Deepika Padukone. Aditya Roy Kapur was the part of this movie along with Kalki Koechin. It went on to become one of the highest grossing Bollywood movies of the year. Ranbir Kapoor latest movie was Roy and Bombay Velvet. There are many other untitled projects lined up too.
Ranbir Kapoor has done commercials for various brands including Pepsi, Lays, Oreo, Panasonic etc. His latest ad world contract is with him being face for music app Saavan and e-commerce website Askme.com.
Ranbir Kapoor Love Affairs
Ranbir’s love life has always been controversial. He is always in news and favourite of tabloids. Ranbir Kapoor girlfriend name was Deepika Padukone in his early career and their relation was catching everyone’s eyes. Their relation ended soon with Deepika accusing Ranbir of infidelity, which he later accepted well. He since then has been linked to his co-stars Priyanka and Nargis as well. Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor relationship is in talks these days. They are said to be living in together in a Mumbai flat. The buzz of Ranbir Kapoor marriage is floating in the tabloids and they might get married anytime soon. May people see Katrina as Ranbir Kapoor wife.
Ranbir Kapoor Controversy
Ranbir has been surrounded by various controversies in his career, mostly due to his love life. Ranbir was targeted by media when he broke up with Deepika. It became a hot topic as he was said to be cheating on her. He admitted on doing so later on in media. Ranbir Kapoor relationship with girlfriend Katrina Kaif was always in rounds among tabloids but when some pictures of the couple surfaced on social media it was clear. They were seen enjoying a vacation in overseas on a beach. Ranbir reacted strongly to this and said that it is very sad that nobody respects personal space of stars.
