The Baadshah of Bollywood is known for his
love for wife Gauri Khan. He has shared sizzling hot chemistry with plenty of
beautiful actresses like Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukherjee and
Preity Zinta, but never in the history of his career span was he ever linked to
any heroine. However, things took a different turn when suddenly rumors of him
having an affair with beauty queen Priyanka Chopra started doing rounds.shah
rukh and priyanka met for the first time in 2000 when priyanka was the
contestant in miss world contest and shah rukh was the judge , it was the time
when shah rukh said prouncing to her “ I am as nervous as you are , I go weak
in the presence of the beauty”
Things became sour when SRK’s best buddy
karan Johar publicly bitched about her,
and star wives like Gauri and Suzanne Roshan started ignoring her
According to filmi Beat It Started when
Shahrukh Khan allegedly started to give special treatment to Priyanka Chopra
and started recommending her to producers to cast her in the film. While Gauri
apprently didn't take it seriously, Priyanka started to make regular visits to
Mannat and even started to attend their house parties.
According to a source, "Shah Rukh had
kept a party for a selected few at Mannat after his return from Berlin from the
Don 2 schedule. Priyanka was invited as well. She turned up late, and
surprisingly spent most of the time chatting with Gauri. Every one including
karan johar was stumped with this new bonding."
Shahrukh and Priyanka started hosting shows
together, traveling for film festivals and even trying to get themselves brand
endorsements as a pair. This unusual behavior of the two apparently started to
add fuel to the fire and Gauri started to have mood swings.
The situation worsened when Priyanka
stopped getting invited to parties, but would later be invited on Shahrukh's
request. Even Karan Johar, who was then at loggerheads with Priyanka, had to
swallow his pride and invite Priyanka Chopra to his birthday bash. Then there was a Big Showdown An eye witness
who attended the bash reveals, "Shah Rukh played the perfect host for
Priyanka. The moment she walked in, he jumped over the couch, received her with
a kiss on her cheek and went around introducing her to everyone in the room.
All this happened in front of Gauri who was left standing in a corner clutching
her glass of a nonalcoholic drink. After returning home, the couple had a huge
show down where the two gave each other ultimatums. Gauri was clear that she
didn't want her husband working with Priyanka. Shah Rukh on the other hand
brushed the warning off and continued to court Chopra.but after some time he
stopped talking about priyanka and said that he will not work with priyanka in
future
It is not known if the affair was real,
Shahrukh and Priyanka however denied the whole thing. Currently the couple,
Shahrukh and Gauri are going strong by celebrating their 23 years of marriage
