Shahrukh Khan is an Indian film actor, producer, TV host, mentor and philanthropists. He has appeared in more than 50 Hindi films in genres ranging from romance to action and comedies. He is one of the most awarded Bollywood actor of all time including actor Dilip Kumar. Biography of Sonam Kapoor




Sonam Kapoor was born on 9 june 1985 in Chembur, Mumbai to Actor Anil Kapoor and ex Actress Sunita Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor father Anil Kapoor is the legendary star of Bollywood.
 Sonam Kapoor belongs to the Kapoor family of Surinder kapoor. Surinder Kapoor has three sons named Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. Sonam kapoor is the eldest daughter of Anil Kapoor and also had one sister, Rhea Kapoor and younger brother Harshvardhan Kapoor. Arjun Kapoor is the cousin of Sonam Kapoor and son of Boney Kapoor.
She did her schooling from the Arya Vidya Mandir School located in Juhu. After this she was sent to the United World College of South East Asia which was a boarding school in Singapore to do her International Baccalaureate. She studied theatre and arts for 2 years in Singapore. She also studied Political Science and Economics from the University of East London.
Sonam Kapoor knew very well from the beginning that she will enter the Bollywood someday. That is why she studied theatre and arts in Singapore. Her nickname is Giraffe by which her father used to call her. Sonam Kapoor height is1.79 m . She is the style icon for many newcomers in the industry. During her teenage years she was diagnosed by the borderline diabetes.
At the time of Sawariya, her debut film she was around 80 kg. So she lost around 25 kg for that film and she did hard work out to get in shape. She has also worked as an Assistant director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the movie ‘Black’ in the year 2005. Her other interests includes playing basketball and squash, reading, and shopping. Sanjay Leela Bhansali saw some talent in the actress when she was the Assistant director in the movie ‘Black’. After this the director launched her in the movie ‘Saawariya’ opposite to the actor Ranbir Kapoor, son of Rishi Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor age was 22 years when she made her debut in the Bollywood in the year 2007. The movie didn’t do well at the box office but the both the actors were appreciated because of their work in the movie. She didn’t appear on the TV through her shows as her father but she once appeared in the talk show in ‘Coffee with Karan’ along with Deepika Padukone. Then she made a comeback with the movie ‘Delhi 6’ in the year 2009 opposite to Abhishek Bachchan. Her acting was again praised in the movie.
Then she appeared in the movie ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ directed by Punit Malhotra starring Imran Khan. The film was a hit at Box office as it earned around 40 crores. Then she appeared in the ‘Thank You’, ‘Aisha’, and ‘Mausam’. Then in the year 2012, she did ‘Players’, the remake of Italian Job along with Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Then in 2013, she did the hit film ‘Ranjhana’ grossing around 1.2 Billion INR. For this role, she was also awarded Filmfare award for the best Actress. She also did the small role opposite to Farhan Akhtar in the biopic film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.
In the year 2014, her first movie was the Yashraj productions ‘Bevakoofiyan’ opposite to Ayushmann Khurrana. Sonam Kapoor latest movie are ‘Khoobsurat’ opposite to Pakistani Actor Fawad Afsal Khan, ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ with Rajkumar Rao, ‘Pulkit Samrat’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ opposite to Salman Khan.
Sonam Kapoor remains in media talks because of her elegant dressing style as she has become the style icon of the country. She is always featured on the cover page of various magazines like Filmfare and Stardust, in various Indian editions of the International magazines, Sonam Kapoor had been featured in magazines like FHM, Maxim, Vogue, NOTCH, Elle, and Femina.
At the time of her debut film, Sonam Kapoor was linked up with the Ranbir Kapoor as they were seen together many a times. Ranbir Kapoor was believed to be Sonam Kapoor Boyfriend name, but they didn’t give importance to such rumours. After that she was also seen hanging around with the director of her hit movie ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ Punit Malhotra. They both were seen many times at various events together.

Now according to the fresh rumours it is said that Sonam Kapoor is dating a businessman Sahir Berry who accompanied her at an event hosted by Cecilia. But the actress keeps on denying these rumours and tells that she is still very much single and enjoying her life. So there is no such news of her marriage now.
