1981 - 1983: Tina Munim
Tina munim was sanjay dutt’s first
girlfriend. The two met on the sets of sanju’s debut film rocky in 1981. The
screen love story is said to have blossomed into a real life affair between
them but it was short-lived. The breakup was said to have devastated sanjay at
the time as tina munim left him for a much older rajesh khanna. However, years
later dutt showed up as a guest for her wedding to industrialist anil ambani.
1987 - 1996: Richa sharma
after having almost lost himself in the
world of drugs, dutt began his second innings in bollywood around the time he
met richa sharma. Sanjay married the small time actress in 1987. They had a
daughter together a year later in 1988. But just two months after trishala’s
birth, richa was diagnosed with cancer and the couple separated. Richa moved to
united states with her daughter to live with her parents while dutt pursued his
career in bollywood. Apparently his daughter after mutual understanding with
his in-laws chose to stay in us and is pursuing major in criminal psychology.
1990-1993: Madhuri Dixit and lisa ray
sanjay took richa’s death quite badly.
Despite having seen it coming the actor is said to have been in depression for
months. The early 90s saw sanjay coming in and out of relationships as he
battled with his jail sentencing in connection to the 1993 mumbai bomb blasts.
Sanjay first fell for supermodel-turned-actor lisa ray. And although lisa
denies their involvement the duo was potted together on numerous occasions.
Their relationship didn’t last long and dutt’s affair with the dhak dhak girl
madhuri dixit began. She helped him ease the traumatic experience of his wife's
death, like the beginning of most love stories, a beautiful love blossomed
between the two. Sanjay and madhuri were the 'it' couple of the 90s, of whom
fans and industry-wallahas couldn't get enough of. A perfect match, if there
ever was one. Their rumoured courtship however didn't last very long.
It is believed that sanjay's tada arrest
took the relationship to its unfortunate end however, by the time their film khalnayak
released the two are believed to have parted ways.
1993 - 2005: Rhea pillai
after having parted ways with madhuri,
sanjay found comfort with socialite-model rhea pillai. When sanjay was
imprisoned for 13 months, rhea - his first non-filmi girlfriend - was seen
making innumerable trips to the jail. And as soon as sanjay was released from
prison in once released from jail, dutt married pillai in 1998 but sadly the
marriage didn’t last too long and after living apart for a few years in the end
the couple divorced in 2005. Rhea is now married to tennis star leander paes.
2006 - Nadia Durrani
many believe that pillai moved out of
dutt’s house after his open involvement with nadia durrani during the filming
of kaante in 2002. The actor is said to have been completely charmed by the 27
year old nadia who is a divorcee and has a nine year old daughter. In fact even
after dutt’s return to india after filming for kaante in the us, the duo
continued to be in touch and she finally appeared on the scene in 2005. Dutt
introduced her as his girlfriend in his close circle but although marriage
rumours were quite rampant, nadia made an exit as quiet as her entry.
Manyata
manyata is our sanjay's present lady
love.they say that that since his contact with manyata, who comes from a middle
class background, the superstar has calmed down, got a lot more serious about
his work including the launch of his production company. Sources add that
manyata has seen how this industry works and having been a part of the industry
for a short duration she hopes to prevent her hubby from being cheated by his
friends and business associates. “people don’t understand what sanjay is going
through. Time and again he has been used by people for his money and lifestyle.
With manyata he gets some kind of security. Despite coming with no background
or money with her she has been by his side at some of the most crucial times in
his life. She has made him see a lot of things and although that hasn’t gone
down well with a lot of his supposed friends sanjay is finally becoming
responsible and is finally taking decisions - something that he should have
done a lot earlier,” says a close friend. By now sanjay has two twins a boy and
a girl with manyata this time sanjay dutt is in yerwada jail the last time
sanjay came out of prison was in december last year when he was granted a
month-long parole. It was extended by 30 days in january on account of his wife
manyata's illness. Prior to that, he was on a month-long leave of furlough on
medical grounds.
