Shahrukh Khan is an Indian film actor, producer, TV host, mentor and philanthropists. He has appeared in more than 50 Hindi films in genres ranging from romance to action and comedies. He is one of the most awarded Bollywood actor of all time including actor Dilip Kumar. He was awarded with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2005, and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Government of France in 2007 for his contribution to films. Biography of Arijit Singh



Arijit Singh was born on 25th April 1987 at Murshidabad in West Bengal. He is an Indian playback singer and has lent his voice for numerous Bollywood films.
After extensive training for years, Arijit Singh was lucky to be among the top six contestants on the reality show Fame Gurukul in the year 2005 and won the hearts of the audiences with his dedication and sincerity towards his craft. He was also the winner of the reality show- 10 ke 10 le gaye dil and has performed live at many stage shows.
Arijit became assistant director to the famous music director Pritam and he got his first break from music directors Shankar Ehsaan Loy, in the song ‘All For One’ from the album High School Musical volume 2, in the year 2007.
As his popularity grew he has bagged many numbers for films such as Murder 2, Players, Shanghai, 1920: Evil Returns, 3G, Agent Vinod, Aashiqui 2.
Arijit Singh has also sung title song for the television soap Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon which is aired on Colors.In the year 2012 he won the Mirchi Musical Awards for Upcoming male vocalist of the year for Barfi! And Shanghai. He sang in over 31 movies in year 2014 .
According to Singh, apart from being a singer he is badminton player, a writer, a movie freak and a documentary maker. According to Forbes's Celebrity 100 list, released annually, Singh earned ₹350 million (US$5.4 million) in 2014. Despite the popularity, Singh does not give much interviews or get his photos clicked.

In September 2013, Singh was arrested for allegedly assaulting a journalist, Apurba Chowdhury, when Chowdhury asked him details about his divorce case. Reportedly, Singh was granted bail the following day. On 20 January 2014, Singh married his childhood friend, Koel Roy, in Tarapith temple, West Bengal. He confirmed the news by posting his wedding picture on a social networking site. Accordingly, it was his second marriage since he was previously married to one of his co-contestants from a reality show. Roy was also previously married and has a four-year-old daughter, when they got married.
