Shahrukh Khan is an Indian film actor, producer, TV host, mentor and philanthropists. He has appeared in more than 50 Hindi films in genres ranging from romance to action and comedies. He is one of the most awarded Bollywood actor of all time including actor Dilip Kumar. Shalmali Kholgade birthday is on 2nd of January, 1988 and she has specialized in classical and Hindustani genre. She sings in various languages such as Marathi, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and English. She has been appreciated for the talent she possesses, which is the reason she has been able to achieve success in her career.Shalmali Kholgade is born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Shalmali Kholgade parents live in Padmavati CHS, opposite to IIT. Shalmali Kholgade father was working with IIT, Powai. Her uncle Kishore Degewekar is also a resident of Powai. Shalmali Kholgade mother Uma Kholgade is an Indian singer and theatre personality. She later continued her music education under Subhead Partaker. Shalmali Kholgade age was just eight when she started taking musical training and then at the age of sixteen she made her debut in the industry.

She began performing at the age of 16 and has recently been accepted by the L.A. Music Academy, but decided not to attend, due to her recording commitments in India. One of Shalmali’s friends is programmer in Amit Trivedi band asked her to send her music clip. She sent him a clip of her English song which Amit Trivedi liked very much. She was called for the interview and recorded her first song next day. When the song released then Shalmali witnessed the overnight success and become the first choice singer for most of the music composers for masala songs. Shalmali made her Bollywood playback singing debut in 2012 with the song ‘Pareshaan’ from the movie ‘Ishqzaade’ of Arjun Kapoor under the music of Amit Trivedi. She won many award for this song as it was both critically and commercially successful. Shalmoli Kholgade hit songs of 2012 are ‘Desi Daru’ from ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Aga Bai’ from ‘Aiyyaa’ too. The song “Lat Lag Gayi” from movie ‘Race 2’ (Katrina Kaif & Jackqueline Fernandez were also part of this movie) became immensely popular among the masses and is considered as the best number in Shalmali Kholgade songs collection.
She was again appreciated for her dedication in the song ‘Balam Pichkari’ from the movie ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ (Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur & Ranbir Kapoor were the main startcast in this movie). She received Filmfare nomination for best female playback singer in the year 2013 as well for this song. She got critical success from the title track of ‘Suddh Desi Romance’ (Sushant Singh Rajput & Parineeti Chopra acted in this movie). Shalmali also sang for chartbuster films like ‘Main Tera Hero’ (Besharmi Ki Height), ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (D Se Dance) and ‘Daawat-E-Ishq’ (Shayrana) in the year 2014. One of Shalmali Kholgade latest songs is “Mohabbat Buri Bimari” in ‘Bombay Velvet’ which is composed by Amit Trivedi. Her latest upcoming song is “Shakira” of movie ‘Welcome to Karachi’ composed by Jeet Ganguli. She will be singing in two Bangla movies- “Herogiri” and “JIL”. She has sung in a Telugu movie “Dohchay” and a Marathi movie “Timepass 2”.   The five songs from the album ‘Bartender’ had been released, but yet not marketed. All songs are beautiful and not genre which Shalmali usually sings. Shalmali has also expressed her willingness to work with Karthik more with whom she had sung ‘Narriyan’ on Coke studio. Working with AR Rehman is still a dream for her. She also wants to work with Shankar Ehsaan and Loy. Shalmali Kholgade movies debut was made in the year 2009 with a supporting role in Ranjan Singh’s Marathi film “Tu Maza Jeev” which was released on Maharashtra day.
