Shahid Kapoor was one born on February 25, 1981 .Shahid Kapoor family background is little
tragic. Shahid Kapoor age was 3 years when his parents divorced each other. He
lived with his mother and his maternal grandparents in Delhi (Saket). He even
shared a cordial relationship with his father Pankaj and his step mother
Supriya Pathak.
Shahid Kapoor has three siblings- a sister named Sanah Kapoor,
and two brothers- Ishaan Khattar and Ruhaan Kapoor. Shahid’s maternal
grandmother Anwar Azeem was a Marxist Journalist and an author from Bihar. His
grandfather Khwaja Ahmad Abbas was a journalist, novelist, film director, and a
screenwriter. Abbas was the grandson of Hali, who was chief protege of popular
poet Ghalib.
Shahid Kapoor Education
Shahid Kapoor did his schooling from Gyaan Bharathi School
in Delhi till his 4th standard. After it, he was shifted to Raajhans Vidyalaya
in Mumbai. He even received the training from SDIPA (Shiamak Davar Institute of
Performing Arts).
Shahid Kapoor is also called as Shahid Khattar. Shahid
Kapoor step father is Rajesh Khattar. But, now his mother and step father are
divorced.
Shahid Kapoor worked in many music videos and TV ads before
becoming an actor. He was seen in Pepsi Commercial with Shahrukh Khan in 1998.
He was seen as Background Dancer in the movie ‘Taal’ in year 1999. He them
stopped working in TV commercials and music videos and struggled hard to make a
career in Bollywood.
In year 2003, Shahid Kapoor appeared in the movie ‘Ishq
Vishk’ opposite to Amrita Rao. He received the ‘Filmfare Award’ for Best Male
Debut in this movie. His performance was appreciated by many film critics. In
year 2004, he appeared in the movie ‘Fida’ opposite to Kareena Kapoor. He then
appeared in movie ‘Dil Maange More’ and was appreciated for his role in that
movie too. He featured in three more movies in year 2005 and the success
lightened his way.
In year 2006, he was starred in the movie ‘36 China Town’
and it was a moderate success. The second release of Shahid of that year was
‘Chup Chip Ke’ and that also got moderate success. He got the major fame from
the super hit movie of that year ‘Vivah’.
In year 2007, he appeared in movie ‘Fool N Final’, but it
does not do well. After that he appeared in ‘Jab We Met’ of Imtiaz Ali. The
movie was a hit at box office. In 2008, he appeared in the movie ‘Kismat
Konnection’ opposite to Vidya Balan. Then he worked with Priyanka Chopra in the
movie ‘Kaminey’ released in 2009. It was a super hit movie. He appeared in
another movie ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’, which did not do well. In year 2010, he
appeared in movie ‘Chance pe Dance’ and received mixed reviews for the movie.
His movie ‘Paathshaala’ and ‘Badmaash Company’
received moderate success. Shahid’s movie ‘Milenge Milenge’ was quite unnoticed
at box office.
In year 2011, he was starred in movie ‘Mausam’ opoosite to
Sonam Kapoor. In 2012, he appeared in the movie ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’. He hosted
the IIFA awards with Shahrukh in 2013 in Macau. His first film of this year
2013 was ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’
opposite to Ileana D’Cruz. Then his second release of year was ‘R Rajkumar’
opposite to Sonakshi Sinha. In 2014 he
was seen in critically acclaimed Haider opposite ‘Shraddha Kapoor’ for which he
won many awards too. His upcoming movie
is opposite Alia Bhatt named ‘Shaandar’. He has also appeared in t.v reality show
Jhalak Reloaded as a Judge in 2015 .
Marriage
Shahid Kapoor married Mira Rajput Rajput on 7/07/2015.
According to close friends, the couple tied the knot in
Gurgaon in a morning ceremony. Only close friends and family were present at
the venue, which was not a hotel as earlier reported.
Sources confirmed 30-40 guests were present when Mira, 21,
and Shahid, 34, exchanged their vows at a close friend's house. Details of
marriage have been kept under wraps.
The couple then headed to Oberoi in Gurgaon where a wedding
reception took place in the evening with over 500 guests present.
